JOHN DEERE LOADER'S
Green On Green

The wide range allows loader mounting on John Deere tractors
from the 5215 (55Hp) up to the 7530 (200Hp).
The new tractors 7430 and 7530 from Mannheim can be fitted with
the new 753. This adds a very powerful combination to the range.
For customers who want to equip different tractors with the same
loader: Each loader can be fitted on a large range of tractors. As
an example: 633 can be mounted on 5020 and 6030 4 cylinder. The 653
can now fit the 6030 both 4 and 6 cylinder.

COMPATIBILITIES WITH CURRENT TRACTORS

GREENSTAR GUIDANCE SOLUTIONS
The GreenStar Guidance System can be utilized for GreenStar
AutoTrac Assisted Steering or the GreenStar Parallel Tracking
manual steering system. The system can be utilized among others
in spraying, spreading, seeding, and tillage applications.
Key benefits:
- Improved efficiency - saves time, chemicals and
fuel by reducing overlap
- Allows faster field speeds
- Higher operator comfort
- More concentration on implements
- Higher field operating speeds
- Seed without marker arms
- Consistent use of the full cutting width while
harvesting
The GreenStar Guidance System utilizes the common components
(GreenStar Display, Mobile Processor, or GreenStar2 display and
StarFire iTC position receiver) and a keycard or key (only for
AutoTrac on GreeStar2 displays) to help guide operators
accurately through their operation. GreenStar Guidance System
can operate in three different Tracking modes: Straight Track,
Curved Track and RowFinder.
- Straight Track mode guides operators down
straight parallel lines. Straight Track mode is set by
the first pass known as Track 0, this is done by
establishing an A point and a B point or by setting an A
point and a degree heading. The system will snap a
straight line using those two points and create parallel
lines on each side of the Track 0 line.
- Curve Track mode allows the operator to drive a
tractor back-and-forth contours, racetrack contours, or
centre pivot contours without any additional inputs.
Curve Track mode starts recording a pass when users push
the "start recording" key and will remember each last
pass driven. The display shows which direction to steer
and optional audible tones are optional.
- RowFinder mode is designed for use with standing
row-crop applications. It helps guide operators into the
correct row after each pass, eliminating the task of
counting rows. RowFinder mode allows the operator to
setup the tracking system then press the RowFinder key
at the end of each pass and the display will guide the
operator back into the appropriate row based upon the
setup width.
Features Include:
- Aerial View - provides a high-level screen view
of where the operator needs to steer. This is useful at
the end of each pass and in Curved Track mode
- Shift Track - will shift the track line to the
right, left, or centre the vehicle according to the
track line
- Mark Point - is a Return to Marker feature that
allows storage of up to 5 points in the field
- Storage of up to 250 fields of Track 0
information with a PCMCIA Data Storage Card
PARALLEL TRACKING
GreenStar Parallel Tracking is an entry-level, GPS-based
guidance system designed to assist customers in both
straight-line and curved-line applications. The Parallel
Tracking system uses differentially corrected GPS signals from
the position receiver to determine its location and displays
that information on the display. A vehicle icon on the display
guides operators down the centre of a track using visual and
audible cues for an operator to manually steer the vehicle.
Parallel Tracking helps reduce overlap and minimize agronomic
inputs such as chemicals and fertilizers. This system will work
in both John Deere and non-John Deere equipment alike, all that
is needed is a 12-volt power supply.
Parallel Tracking software is included FREE in each
GreenStar2 (GS2) display shipped from the factory. A complete
Parallel Tracking system includes an Original GreenStar Display,
Mobile Processor and keycard or GS2 display, wiring harness, and
StarFire Receiver.

DRIVE SYSTEM
The Gator XUV Series Utility Vehicle has a
precision-engineered drivetrain system that fully utilizes
engine power, optimizing acceleration, hauling, towing, and
hill-climbing capabilities. Power is transmitted from the engine
through a continuously variable clutch system to the transaxle.
KEY ELEMENTS OF THE DRIVE SYSTEM INCLUDE:
1) VARIABLE SPEED DRIVE
Consists of two clutches and a drive belt:
- Drive clutch is attached to the engine.
- Driven clutch is attached to the transaxle.
Features include:
Low range = 0-24 km/h (0-17 km/h EEC road version)
High range = 0-50 km/h (0-50 km/h EEC road version)
- Adjusts engine speed to the load to avoid bogging
down when going up a hill or through difficult terrain
- Overall reduction ratios:
Low 86:1
High 42:1
How variable-speed drive works:
1) As engine speed increases, the spring-loaded drive clutch
is closed by weights being forced out by centrifugal force. As
the drive clutch closes, the belt rides up to the largest
diameter of the drive clutch and forces open the driven clutch.
2) With the belt running in the smallest diameter of the
driven clutch, the speed being transferred to the transaxle is
increased.
3) The driven clutch is designed to sense varying loads
(inclines, mud, etc.) and constantly adjusts drive speed upward
or downward so that engine rpm remains optimal.
2) TRANSAXLE AND MFWD
- Two-speed fully enclosed oil bath transaxle allows
for superior pulling ability.
- The MFWD and rear transaxle are protected by skid
plates.
- Helical forward and reverse gears are used for quiet
operation.
- The rear traction assist (differential lock) unit
allows the rear drive wheels to be locked together in
order to provide increased traction when needed.
- "On-Demand "True" 4WD System with an auto-locking
front differential and dash-mounted electronic rocker
switch is best-in-class; when the rocker switch is in
the "on" (4WD) position, the front differential will
automatically lock for extra traction when needed, but
when the rocker switch is in the "off" (2WD) position,
the vehicle will remain in 2WD
- Provides exceptional traction in challenging
conditions
- Maintains "turf-friendly" operation in 2WD mode
Drive shafts
- Rear CV shaft diameter measures 27 mm and designed
for peak engine and braking torque
(Note: 33% larger than
most competitors)
- Front CV shaft diameter measures 23.9 mm and
designed for peak engine torque
(Note: 25% larger than
most competitors)
- Propshaft (transaxle to MFWD shaft) diameter
measures 23 mm and designed for peak engine torque

less feedback to the steering wheel (see description
below)
Note: Some competitors use
parallel steering instead of Ackerman Steering
The Ackerman Steering
Principle defines
the geometry that is applied to all vehicles (two or four wheel
drive) to enable the correct turning angle of the steering
wheels to be generated when negotiating a corner or a curve.
The red lines in the picture represent the path that the
wheels follow. One can notice that the inside wheels of the car
are following a smaller diameter circle than the outside wheels.
If both the wheels were turned by the same amount (parallel
steering), the inside wheel would scrub (effectively sliding
sideways which wears the tires on hard surfaces and scrubs or
tears the turf) and lessen the effectiveness of the steering.
The tire scrubbing, which also creates unwanted heat and wear in
the tire, can be eliminated by turning the inside wheel at a
greater angle than the outside one (Ackerman Steering).
Bump Steer defines the
change in forward steering angle (thus wheel position) as the
suspension travels through it full motion. A large amount of
angular change (5-7 degrees) will alter the vehicle's direction
and excessively move the steering wheel.
STABLE DESIGN
A stable vehicle starts with the design of the foundation;
the GatorTM XUV has
the most capable frame available in a high-performance utility
vehicle. The combination of a robust frame and other various
attributes yield best-in-class stability.
Attributes that contribute to best-in-class stability:
- Fully boxed frame provides unmatched resistance to
frame twisting and vibration
- Tires have been pushed out to all four corners which
keeps cargo between the axles
- Weight distribution on the front and rear tires when
vehicle has no cargo box load to maximum load
- Fully independent suspension system keeps all four
wheels on the ground for superior traction and vehicle
control
- High-back bucket seats give a secure feel while
seating the occupants 10-13 cm lower than similar
competitive models
- Lower seating positions allow for easy-on/easy-off
of the vehicle
- Low roll center (center of gravity) minimizes body
roll and provides a steady feel during operation
