Specially
designed for ... everything!
When your same, everyday
chores are always different, count on the
Premium versatility of the 6030 Premium Series
Tractor line-up.
6230 Premium – 75 PTO hp
6330 Premium – 85 PTO hp
6430 Premium – 95 PTO hp
These three Premium performers are packed
with the practical features you need to tackle
your tasks with ease.
Replacing the 6020 Series tractors, which were
introduced in 2001, the new 6030 and 7030 Series
Mannheim made tractors retain John Deere’s
proven full frame concept, modular transmission
and lifelong components such as the Perma Clutch
2. The new range includes two brand new
six-cylinder models, the 7430 and 7530, which
extend the full frame concept for the first time
into the 180 to 200hp bracket.
Up to 25 additional
horses
Intelligent Power Management delivers up to
10 more engine hp – automatically – in mobile
rear PTO and transport applications, such as
pulling a baler up hills or hauling a heavy
wagon.
All 30 Series Premium tractors are available
with the unique Intelligent Power Management
system, which generates extra engine power for
pto and transport applications – up to an
additional 25hp depending on the model range.
The extra power is provided during rear pto
operations when the tractor is moving and the
pto system detects a load, or during transport
when travelling above 8.7mph (14kph).
PowerTech Plus™ engines offer a
four-valve common rail design for unmatched
torque, constant power, and fuel efficiency.
These heavy-duty powerplants are specifically
designed for ag applications such as loader
work, PTO applications, tillage, and transport.

More hydraulic flow
Hydraulics have long been a hallmark of
John Deere tractors, and the 6030 Premium Series
Tractors are no exception. The pressure- and
flow-compensated system generates 29 gpm for
faster loader cycle times. Plus, it’s designed
to conserve energy when no oil is in demand.
Three PTO speeds
Now available with 540/540E/1000, 6030
Premium Series Tractors make it easy to change
between speeds (and implements). Choose the 540E
to run at lower engine rpm to save fuel and
reduce noise.
Premium and Premium Plus Cabs cradle you
in comfort. John Deere engineers completely
redesigned the cab (standard on all three
models) for your maximum comfort and unmatched
control.
A
number of styling and ergonomic changes inside
and outside the cab are designed to enhance
operator comfort and help increase productivity.
The newly contoured bonnet gives it a narrower
look and feel, while retaining the overall
family appearance of the 7000 and 8000 Series
tractors. The optional Xenon working lights
provide more flexibility, better visibility at
night and allow longer working hours with less
operator fatigue. The 30 Series tractor
cabs are now rated at 70.6dBA, the quietest on
the market, and feature hydraulic cab suspension
(HCS) and an entirely new interior design.
The cab is mounted on new pivot bearings at the
front, and the rear HCS cylinders have
integrated rubber ISO mounts to reduce noise
levels. The dashboard, right hand console and
left hand storage area come in new lighter
colours with improved outlines, while the seat
has a deeper base cushion to provide the driver
with a more comfortable working environment.
For an easier reach from the steering wheel, the
left hand reverser has been integrated into the
newly designed dashboard, just like the
windshield wiper lever and the direction
indicator, which is now self-cancelling as in a
car. To provide the driver with a perfect view
of the instrument panel from any position, the
whole dashboard can now be moved telescopically.
A new one piece, right hand console incorporates
the most ergonomically placed controls for a
wide range of applications and operating
requirements, including a choice of mechanical
or electrical selective control valves on the
right hand side. Front and rear pto switches are
now located directly in line and are in an
easier location between the other controls,
while the buttons for the Headland Management
System (HMS) sequencing and AutoTrac assisted
steering are integrated into the side of the
electronic hitch control pod.
Program “hot keys”
for frequently used tasks
The CommandCenter lets you customize a single
key to engage/disengage common controls, such as
lighting, hitch, hydraulics, and even PTO speeds
or Auto/Eco transmission settings.
The new
CommandCenter on every 6030 and 7030 Series
Premium tractor is a combination of information
centre and set-up monitor in one large, full
colour display. For frequently used functions
such as the settings for the hitch, engine,
transmission, HMS and SCVs there are shortcut
keys on the control panel giving quick and
direct access for setting changes.
Those functions which are less often used are
featured in a single menu page, which can be
accessed by pressing a menu button and using the
rotating dial. Extra settings can be engaged via
free programmable hotkeys on top of the
CommandCenter, which also serves as an
information centre to display relevant tractor
data.
For instance, to operate the new Triple Link
Suspension (TLS) Plus system, the driver can
choose one of three operating modes via the menu
page, either Auto, Max or Manual. The system
automatically produces a progressive spring
adjustment to provide the best ride quality
under extreme conditions. In Max mode, maximum
stiffness is achieved by raising the system’s
hydraulic pressure, an ideal solution for pallet
work, for example, where placement accuracy is
essential.
Transmission options remain the same as on
previous models. The new 30 Series CommandARM
option integrates the AutoPowr lever with the
new right hand console, while for the ultimate
in luxury a leather seat and leather steering
wheel are also optionally available.

NEW LOADERS FOR UTILITY
TRACTORS INTRODUCED BY JOHN DEERE
|
|
| In
order to gain more productivity
from a utility tractor, many
operators attach a loader for
hauling, loading, and clean-up
chores on the farm or worksite.
John Deere has added even more
durability and efficiency in a
tractor/loader combination with
the introduction of four new
loader models; the 563 and 673
Self-Leveling (SL), and 563 and
673 Non-Self-Leveling (NSL)
models.
"These
loaders are designed primarily
for John Deere 6000, 6010, 6020
and 6030 Series Tractors but
will also fit on 6615, 6715,
7220, 7320, and 7420 Tractors in
lighter duty applications," says
Dan Wilson, loader product
specialist, John Deere Welland
Works. "The durable design of
these loaders totally integrates
with the tractor and provides
better visibility and improved
ease of operation."
Durability features include a
cast-steel mounting frame and a
heavy-duty hood guard that
offers increased protection to
the tractor. Overall steel
thickness has been increased on
the 673 Loaders for longer life.
"The SL models are designed with
an increased dump angle to aid
with bale huggers, bale spears,
and overall grading work,"
explains Wilson. "The NSL models
have increased rollback angles
to help carry more material in
the bucket.
"Also, with these new loaders, a
very user-friendly attaching
system, the John Deere Global
Carrier, has been designed to
easily attach and detach
buckets, blades, pallet forks,
and other tools. An optional
Cylinder Latching System can
also be added to the Global
Carrier that allows the operator
to change attachments on the
loader without leaving the
tractor platform."
The loaders have been designed to meet specific
customer needs. For example, hay
handling and light-duty chores
done by a new 6030 Series
Tractor would probably use the
563 Loader. More heavy-duty
chores such as grading, digging,
moving bales with a grapple, and
moving silage would probably
require the 673 Loader.
